This piece is playfully titled: Normal Day

1. The concept: My concept is the absurdity of everyday life, how things can get so crazy all the time so they seem to blend in with our every day lives. This is demonstrated by my mixing of otherworldly images with a Broad st background
3. I am very happy with the results!
4. Here are a few photos I edited to produce the final product.
5. I first made the street picture my background and then duplicated it so there were two layers. Then I took a photo of outer space and made it a layer between the two so it was invisible. Then I used a polygonal lasso tool to select the sky around the building on the right and then deleted it so that the space was showing. Then I took a picture of the cartoon spaceship and selected it so I could paste it onto my picture. I then resized it to fit my tastes. Then I selected a triangle coming from the ship and used the paint bucket to make it green. Then I changed the opacity to 38% so you could see the background and the man in the beam of the spaceship. Then I selected a picture of Barney the dinosaur and pasted him into my picture. After, I resized the image and put him in the shadows. Next I did the exact same thing with an alien I found online, but put him standing on the grate. After that, I copied a picture of a hole in the ground and selected roughly around the edges. Then I pasted it into my project and zoomed in to put it in the perfect position. While still zoomed in, I used the lasso tool to erase small edges, and then I intensely blurred the edges so it blended with the ground. Then I copied the tentacle (pictured above) and pasted it. Then I resized it and placed it on the hole image. Then I used the blur tool again to make the tentacle appear as if it was coming out the hole. I also changed certain lightings/contrasts of certain images. I probably left out other tools and steps that I used in this project but thats basically a summary of how I made this.
