Keno Burckhardt Response:

I am very against the war on drugs. Right now the government doesn't recognize the difference between soft and hard drugs. Countless people are in prison right now for possession of small amounts of marijuana. The federal government is spending billions of dollars on keeping these people in jail which is pointless because they are not dangerous and didn't commit any terrible crime. If marijuana was legalized the federal government would generate $6 billion in tax and would save $7.7 billion dollars not incarcerating people with little reason. This money is being pointlessly spent and could be spent on making college affordable and improving our infrastructure.
